Cotê de Provence Aop Rosè – Les Trois Frères – Domaine Aspras
Price range: £16,00 through £30,00
Vinification: Utilising a direct pressing method following a night harvest, the grapes are destemmed and gently pressed in a pneumatic press to create a refined “free-run rosé.” After the pressing, the juice undergoes low-temperature settling to clarify it before a brief maceration at 14° to 18°C, allowing for the development of complexity. The wine is then aged in vats on fine lees for several weeks, enhancing its texture and imparting subtle, nuanced flavours.
Tasting Note: This very pale pink wine, adorned with a delicate spring hue, exudes an expressive nose of strawberries, raspberries, mint, peaches, and floral notes. On the palate, it is fresh and round, delivering a delightful intensity that emphasises its fruity character. The wine is soft and elegant, offering a crisp, refreshing finish that may also reveal a hint of creaminess and a touch of minerality, enhancing its charm and complexity.
