Roccolo Grassi Winery, founded in the late 1980s by Marco Sartori, is a family -run estate in Italy’s Valpolicella region, renowned for its exceptional wines. Nestled on the slopes near San Pietro in Cariano, the winery benefits from the region’s ideal microclimate and limestone soils.
Spanning 15 hectares, the estate focuses on indigenous grape varieties like Corvina and Rondinella, cultivated sustainably. Since taking over in 1986, siblings Marco and Francesca Sartori have shifted the focus to organic practices and quality, producing single-vineyard wines to ensure each bottle reflects the best grapes from their vineyards.
Each wine undergoes meticulous hand-harvesting and sorting, with fermentation in stainless steel to maintain freshness. Aging in a mix of Slavonian oak and French barriques adds complexity and elegance.
Roccolo Grassi’s portfolio includes vibrant Soave, fruity Valpolicella Classico, and rich Amarone della Valpolicella, showcasing the essence of the region. Visiting the winery offers a beautiful taste of the vineyards and the craftsman ship behind each exceptional bottle.
