Serge Mouriesse has long held the conviction that wine should authentically reflect its terroir. This belief has guided him throughout his vinicultural journey, beginning over thirty years ago during his studies of the soils in Pomerol and Saint-Émilion. His dedication remains unwavering, as evidenced by his recent acquisition of vine parcels on the right bank of the Rhône. In late 2007, he purchased his first parcel in the renowned Châteauneuf-du-Pape AOC and has since expanded his holdings to encompass 2.5 hectares across Châteauneuf-du-Pape and the Gard region, sharing this endeavour with his wife, Brigitte. Their vineyards thrive under sustainable practices, utilising organic fertilisers and avoiding synthetic chemicals. Regular ploughing enhances soil aeration and fosters microbial life, while their focus on the majority of old vines yields superior quality. Manual harvests ensure meticulous sorting, and respectful vinification respects the specific needs of each vintage. This dedication culminates in wines that capture the essence of the land, with careful consideration given from harvest to bottling, representing a genuine pursuit of authenticity in every bottle.
