Tenuta Mara embraces biodynamic agriculture with minimal human intervention. Vines are tended according to the Lunar and Planetary Calendar; soil is prepared with a plant- and animal-derived mix, leaving the soil’s thousands of micro-organisms to do the work. No chemical products or corrective wines are ever used, and only the finest Lot is bottled after careful tastings.
Music and art accompany the estate: vines grow to classical harmonies, Mozart’s compositions wafting through the rows via a discreet BOSE system. An artful outdoor path features works by Staccioli, Pomodoro, Sbarluzzi and others, while a purpose-built music room hosts concerts and wine tastings.
Seven hectares sustain pristine viticulture, with handpicked grapes and strict selection. Fermentation occurs in vats without temperature control or added yeast, then rests in the Bottaia, watched by two Chinese warriors as Gregorian chants fill the air.
