Barolo DOCG “Noi” Virna Borgogno
Price range: £134,00 through £649,00
An intricate weaving of different terroirs combine to create ‘Noi”. Elevage of this Barolo takes place in large oak casks. Embodies the terroir and our understanding of this wine: elegant and powerful, providing great excitement.
The vinification process of Noi is meticulous. It involves crushing and de-stemming, followed by a 10-12 day maceration with skins at a maximum temperature of 29-31°C. After racking, the wine undergoes an élevage in oak barrels for about 18 months, ensuring the highest quality.
Repose in steel tanks before bottling. Bottle-aged horizontally.
Tasting note: Intense ruby red with garnet highlights; full, intense nose; tertiary notes with red fruit leading vanilla, cocoa and spices. Full-flavoured and austere with balanced, supple tannins.
