Tai Rosso Veneto Igt “Rosso Calbin” – Pialli
£24,90
Vinification: It is made entirely from Tai Rosso grapes, native to the Berici Hills in Veneto, Italy. Hand-harvested and carefully macerated with skin contact for seven days in stainless steel tanks, the wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts. It then ages for six months in large cherry and oak barrels, which enrich its character. Some vintages may spend an additional six months in stainless steel, enhancing complexity and showcasing the wine’s regional heritage.
Tasting Note: It is an enchanting light-bodied red wine brimming with vibrant raspberry and strawberry flavours, complemented by delicate notes of white pepper, rose, and wet stone. Its feathery tannins offer a surprising smoothness, making it a versatile choice for pairing with various dishes, from fish and chicken to spicy cuisine. This wine is both authentic and inviting, showcasing an intriguing complexity despite its lightness.
