Tempranillo alias Tinto Fino – Ribera del Duero Do – 15 Meses – Bodegas Vizcarra
£20,00
Vinification: This exquisite wine is a pure Tempranillo, also known locally as Tinto Fino, sourced from over thirty-year-old vines planted in clay-limestone soil. Hand-harvested in 15-kilogram crates, the grapes undergo meticulous sorting and destemming before a careful fermentation lasting 17 days. Following malolactic fermentation in American oak, it matures for 15 months in a blend of French and American barrels. With its rich dark cherry hue, it offers vibrant fruity notes of blackberries, complemented by subtle hints of oak.
Tasting Note: It reveals a captivating cherry red colour with a garnet rim. Its bouquet enchants with ripe red and black fruits, mingling with subtle roasted hints and minerality. On the palate, it offers a powerful yet smooth experience, marked by mature tannins and a luscious texture, concluding with a prolonged, well-structured finish that delights the senses.
