Vinification: A biodynamic, low-intervention expression of 100% Sangiovese. It undergoes spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, followed by an extended maceration that pulls deep colour and robust tannins. Maturation in used barriques preserves the fruit-forward character while adding earthy structure. The wine retains purity and lively acidity, with very low natural sulfites (around 25 mg/L) and no additives, delivering a poised, expressive Sangiovese.
Tasting note: A deep ruby colour that darkens to subtle garnet with age, this wine offers vibrant cherry and plum aromas, accented by cassis, violet and iris, and a rustic, earthy spice. The palate is harmonious and sturdy: a core of ripe fruit balanced by lively acidity and well-integrated tannins. As it matures, the texture becomes rounder and silkier, finishing with velvety elegance.
