Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso Igt Veneto Riserva “Bronte” – Cason Brusá – Ca Vescovado
£25,70
Vinification: This wine is made exclusively from 100% Refosco grapes, cultivated using the Sylvoz training system with a density of 3,000 plants per hectare, yielding 60 quintals. The flat, alluvial soil is rich in minerals like calcium and magnesium. After a manual harvest, the grapes are dried on racks for 40-50 days to concentrate sugars. They undergo destemming, pressing, and a 15-20 day maceration at 16-18°C. After 6-8 months in stainless steel, it ages in French oak barriques and tonneaux for 18-24 months, followed by 6 months in bottle.
Tasting Note: This wine showcases an intense ruby-red hue with amber undertones. Its aromatic profile features fruity notes of black cherry, ripe wild berries, and plum, complemented by hints of vanilla, coffee, and cocoa. On the palate, it is full, warm, and round, boasting velvety tannins that enhance the overall experience.
