Brunello di Montalcino Docg – Piombaia
£30,90
Vinification: Embracing biodynamic principles, this wine is crafted solely from Sangiovese grapes, harvested by hand in October. It undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 25 days, incorporating some stems and skins for added complexity. Following this, it matures for 10 months in barriques, allowing the wine to develop a refined character that reflects its Brunello di Montalcino origins and the nurturing practices of the Piombaia winery.
Tasting note: This youthful Sangiovese captures the vibrant essence of Montalcino with its easy-drinking charm. Bursting with fruity aromas of raspberries, cherries, and red currants, it presents a lush, soft palate and a lingering finish that hints at Mediterranean herbs. Medium-bodied and zesty, this wine balances delightful acidity and tannins, making it a truly enjoyable experience.
