“Cio Bacaro” Tai Rosso Colli Berici Doc – Pialli
£35,00
Barbarano represents the maximum expression of Tai Rosso, the tremendous native grape of the Berici hills, near Vicenza.
Middle age of the vines 16 years. Marly limestone soils and charged red clays of the skeleton.
Harvested by hand in small boxes and maceration for two weeks in steel tanks, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Ageing for 18 months in 500-litre French oak barrels and subsequent ageing in the bottle for 12 months.
Vinified in purity, with extended maceration on the skins and 18 months of ageing in the cask, this wine results from a low yield per vine and meticulous work in the vineyard with the utmost respect for the environment.
