Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Colline Teramane DOCG “Oinos” – Magnum – San Lorenzo Winery

£90,70

Dry red wine “Oions” Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Colline Teramane DOCG is made from Montepulciano grapes grown in the Colline Teramane region.

The vineyards, which have calcareous-clay soils and a planting density of 4500 vines per hectare, are located 250-300 meters above sea level.

The grapes are harvested in late October. The berries are destemmed and crushed; maceration on the skins for 25 days.

Alcoholic fermentation occurs in steel tanks at 30 °C.

The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 24 months.

A wine with an intense red and a strong ruby hue. Aromas of refined scents of blackcurrant, ripe prune, and mature plum. It is intense and fruity with notes of coffee and chocolate. Full and elegant on the palate, followed by a warm, lingering sensation of thick texture. The tannins of the wood and wine are softened by alcohol and refreshed by a light acidity.

It matches well-structured first courses, barbecued meats, mature and strong cheeses, eggs, game and red meats.
