Vinification: The grapes were meticulously handpicked on 20 October 2010, after rain led to ideal conditions for botrytis cinerea. The vinification begins with a 60 to 90-day maceration in large oak barrels, followed by six years of aging in 20-hl barrels and an additional four years in bottle, unfiltered to retain natural sediments. Best served at 15°C (59°F), this process enhances the wine’s complexity and preserves its vitality.
Tasting Note: This exceptional wine showcases the rich, tannin-laden character of botrytized Ribolla Gialla grapes, yielding a deep orange-gold hue. Its ethereal bouquet reveals herbal and fruity notes, while the palate offers a profound, savoury experience with a persistent mineral finish. Unfiltered, the essential sediments enhance its vitality, making each sip reminiscent of tasting the vineyard itself.
