Ribolla Gialla 2010 Igt Venezia Giulia Limited Edition – Damijan Podversic
£283,50
It is intense and gold. It has intense aromas of fresh, ripe white orchard fruit, spicy and herbal aromas like tomato leaf, and a hint of orchardock minerality overlying blossoms. Wet-r ripe pears and floral notes with a honey-like aftertaste. Outstanding length and balance with ripe, lush tannins.
Harvest: Picked berry by berry on the last day of the harvest, 20 October 2010. After the rain of the first week in October, the temperatures dropped, allowing the grapes to conclude their cycle and forming botrytis cinerea.
Vinification: The maceration begins in big oak barrels for 60 to 90 days. After the fermentation, it is aged in 20-hl barrels for six years and rests for four years in bottles. The wine is bottled without cleaning or filtration. The resulting natural sediments preserve and protect the wine.
