Trebbiano Igt Colli Apruntini “Mezzo Pieno” – Azienda Agricola Massetti Francesco
£37,20
Vinification: Crafted from grapes nurtured in clay and limestone soils, this wine showcases the essence of Massetti’s sustainable practices. The hand-harvested grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation in untempered steel, with malolactic fermentation enhancing flavour complexity. Aged for ten months on the lees, it offers a fuller body and refined texture. Hailing from the scenic Colonnella region in Abruzzo, Italy, this wine captures both the terroir’s character and the art of low-intervention winemaking, producing only 3,000 bottles.
Tasting Note: It showcases an intense yellow-gold hue and a persistent bouquet filled with aromas of Williams pear and vibrant citrus, including tangerine and grapefruit. The palate is brisk yet mouthfilling, marked by strong minerality and a rich texture, with gentle bottle age revealing deeper, nuanced flavours. Its finish is smooth and lingering, offering a delightful tasting experience.
