Pinot Grigio – Carso Doc – Castelvecchio
£20,00
Vinification: In the Carso region, the unique character of the wine is shaped by arid, iron-rich limestone soils, constant ventilation, and nearby sea influences. Grapes are meticulously hand-harvested, followed by gentle pressing to preserve delicate qualities. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks ensures crispness, while maturation on the lees enhances complexity and richness, resulting in a wine of remarkable structure and flavour.
Tasting Note: It showcases an intense straw hue with captivating copper reflections. Its aroma is a delightful blend of ripe pear, refreshing melon, and almond blossom. On the palate, it is well-structured, warm, and savoury, revealing delicate flavours of apricot and zesty citrus, making it perfect as an aperitif or paired with light dishes.
